Hard Work ALWAYS Works!

Hi ladies! I hope you are all doing well - sorry for the unintended hiatus! Life has been extremely busy these days.

I am fluctuating between 177 and 182 for the last month or so and it is driving me crazy! I need to get serious again - my intake has been pretty steady and good, but my workouts have been terrible.

All that aside, I am feeling amazing still! I have made a lot of progress and I am loving all the positive comments I am getting from friends and family! Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post - you all keep me so motivated and strong!

March Progress! :)

CW: 177.4 (-2.0lbs this month)

This plan to lose 10lbs in March is not going well! I need to lose just over 2.5lbs a week to meet my goal. I am not sure if that is realistic - but I am just going to give it my all. Even if I only lost 2lbs a week, which is far healthier, then I will get to 171, which is pretty fantastic!

I have been eating decently, but I haven't been able to do cardio for the last week because my knees joints have been so tight and sore. I have still been doing 30 Day Shred every day - I have definitely lost inches, just not a lot of weight. So I should still be happy with my progress!

I am going to get back doing cardio today - I can stick to the bike if my knees start bothering me. I just really need to burn the fat off of my body!

I am doing really well in my goal of giving up Tim Horton's! And I only bought two things at work last week - I got a tall non-fat chai tea latte at Starbucks on both Friday and Saturday. Delicious! I am trying really hard not to spend a lot of money though - I have started a retirement savings plan and I am working hard to save for my move out West later this year. Also, I am currently on target to pay off my student loans within 5 years. Once I move West, I am going to switch to plan to pay them off in 3 years.

Health Things to Improve On:

1. Get back to doing cardio every day - this is the most effective for my body to lose weight

2. Get more strict about gluten - too many little slips lately!

3. Watch intake of starchy carbs - potatoes, rice, etc. Limit these to 3 times a week.

Lost 5lbs in February

CW: 179.4 (-5lbs since last post)

Not bad at all! I haven't been very strict with my diet this month. Between my roomie's birthday, Valentine's day, friends visiting from out of town, and my 25th birthday - it has been a pretty crazy month! I am super stoked to be in the 170s - I feel like I am making huge progress and changing my life.

My new job is fantastic - I love working for the bank. I am learning so much on a daily basis and I love helping people learn how to manage their finances.

My next short term goal is to lose 10lbs in March. Probably a little crazy given how much I have lost already and that my rate of weight loss has been slowing down. But if I can lose 5lbs being relatively slack, then I can at least come close to 10 giving it my all!

I just finished day 5 of the 30 Day Shred today. I am really enjoying these workouts - they are short, but intense. I feel like I am already seeing more definition in my arms and bum - craziness! I can't wait to see my before and after pictures when I am done.

Weekly Weigh In

CW: 186.2 (-2.2lbs this week!)


Only 8.2lbs left to reach my goal of 178 by my birthday - which is one month and and one day away!

Also, only 1.2lbs away from being considered overweight instead of obese on the BMI (I'm 5'6")!

I have lost 32lbs so far - I am only 4.5lbs away from the halfway point on my long term goal weight of 145lbs.

I am so happy! It is unbelievable! <3

All I Was Searching For Was Me

I am finally back! I had an amazing time in BC for Christmas and in Alberta for New Year's! It was great to have such a big chunk of time to visit family and friends. I went to the gym with my little sister while I was there and it was really fun to keep active that way! I got spoiled rotten on Christmas!

I have actually been wanting to move back West for awhile now and did some city exploring and neighbourhood scoping while I was away - leading up to the decision that I will be moving to Calgary later this year!

 The economy is way better there and it is a very short plane ride (about an hour!) to visit my family. I have a lot of friends in Calgary already and a good support system for when I get out there. My lease is up in October, so I plan to move in late September. :) My sister will be living a few hours away in Edmonton!

The job hunt is going well - I had an interview for a really awesome banking job and I should be hearing back from them in the next couple of days! I hope I get this job - it pays really well, the benefits are amazing, and I can tranfer to their office in Calgary in the fall!

So as you can see, I was just short of reaching my New Year's goal of 185lbs. I am still pretty happy though considering such a long holiday didn't derail me too badly! I don't think I am going to make 170lbs before my birthday (February 19) though, which was my second goal.

So my new short term goal is to be 178lbs by my birthday, which would bring me to 40lbs lost total and my lowest weight in 6 years!



















My workouts have been awesome for the last three days: On Saturday I did 1 hour of cardio (540 calories) and on Sunday I did 1 hour of cardio (600 calories). Monday night was strength training, but I also did some brisk walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes (250 calories).


I missed everyone on here! I will be commenting lots more now that I am home!
